Commissioning an Artwork

Request a completely new piece or use an existing piece of my original work as inspiration.
I can help create what you want, in the size you want.

  • My simple process makes commissioning an artwork a breeze,

    1. Initial quote: Use my website contact form or email to get in touch with me about your requirements (size, subject matter, timeframe, budget) and I’ll work with you to provide a commission quote and estimated timing.

    2. First Deposit: A 50% deposit is paid to begin the commissioning process.

    3. Commission is created: I will begin work on your unique piece. Check-ins will be conducted at key points to ensure you are happy with the direction of the artwork.

    4. Final Deposit: The final 50% deposit is paid on completion of the artwork.

    5 Artwork Delivered: Delivery or collection of your new, unique artwork is arranged. Domestic and international freight is also available!

  • 400mm - 700mm ................. $600 - $1000

    700mm - 1000mm ............... $1000- $1400

    1000MM + ............... $1400 +

    Commission pricing is approximate and will vary depending on size, composition, and complexity./

    Commission pricing is similar to the pricing of my off-the-wall artworks, however may be slightly increased due to the extra time and effort I put into ensuring your commission is perfect for you.

  • The timeline estimate for commissions depends on my availability, as well as the complexity and time involved in your specific request. If I have pre-existing commissions on, you may be added to a commission queue.

    Typically, most commission take 1 to 3 months to complete from initiation.

  • My commission process involves multiple check-in stages, where you will be able to my progress and request changes or adjustments. This helps ensure you'll love the final result!

    I encourage you to be honest and open with your feedback, and to have an in-depth discussion with me at the beginning of the process in order to ensure expectations are clear.

  • On the contact form, you will be prompted to input:

    • The size of your preferred piece

    • The subject matter (you will be prompted to provide high quality reference photo/s)

    • Your timeframe

    • Your budget

    • Any specifics and expectations about the piece.

  • I work from high-quality reference photographs for commissions, as I cannot paint live on location.

    Don’t have a photo or the best quality photo?

    I offer a dedicated photography service so we can get the best possible reference material for your piece. This service ensures the reference material has the depth, lighting, and composition needed for a really beautiful painting.

    My professional reference photography service for a flat fee of $250 includes:

    • On-site shoot with professional DSLR camera

    • 5 high-resolution photos from various angles that you can select from to start your commissioned piece.

    • Photo editing

    • Travel and fuel cost within the Brisbane region.

    The clearer, and more detailed the reference, the richer and better the final painting.
